The Colombian craftsmanship sector has been receiving more attention and support this last years, it has been posible due to its great demand of manual labor, that locates in participation with a 15% in the occupation in the manufacturing sector with 350,000 people approximately and of which a 70% are of exclusive dedication; also favoring the national policies of use, since not only it allows to maintain an occupation them but to generate new jobs.
An artisan map of Colombia would show well defined the producing zones. To the south, the department of Nariño is the main body, with a 14 percent of participation in the number of craftsmen of the country. In the center, Boyacá and Tolima respectively represent the eight and five percent of the national total. The rest takes four to it of the departments of the Atlantic coast, Sucre with the ten percent, Cordova with the nine, To stop with seven and the Atlantic one with the 16.
